Football is a sport played between two teams of eleven with the objective of scoring points by advancing the ball into the opposing team's end zone. It may also be referred to informally as gridiron. The ball can be advanced by running with it or throwing it to a teammate. Points are scored by carrying the ball over the opponent's goal line, catching a pass thrown over the goal line, kicking the ball through the opponent's goal posts or tackling an opposing ball carrier in his own end zone. Although many were proven wrong each week, the Rams stuck together and became a family. Our football team showed everyone heart, courage, and trust, make a team what it is. A big thank you to our varsity seniors for yet another successful Holt Ram Football season. Let’s Go Holt! This year the Football team did a great job. They made it to the first round of districts but lost in triple overtime to Grand Blanc 59-52. It was an upsettting defeat but our boys were more than happy to get as far as they did.
