Cross country running is a sport in which people run a race on natural terrain. High school teams usually run a 5K (3.1mi) course, which may include grass and earth, pass through woodlands and open country, and include hills, flat ground and sometimes gravel road. It is both an individual and a team sport, as runners are judged on an individual basis and a points scoring method for teams.

The team will miss there amazing seniors, David Batterson, Patrick Carrier, Chris Hefty, Will Hensler, Jacob Mcgill, Jordan Rasico, Everett Rawlings and Matt Snay. These eight runners have bonded as team and accomplished many things as runners for Holt.

The boys cross country coaches are: Coach Foy and coach Malatinsky.

Cross Country will resume in August. If you would like to join or learn more about it please contact one of the coaches.
