Hi, my name is Kurtis Smith; I’m an advanced web publications student this year. That means that I run in-services to teach the first year students important skills as well as mentor them on how to build web pages. I am responsible for the main page of our website here at Holt Public Schools as well as many others that give information on sports clubs and events that go on at our school. This being my second year of web publishing I have grown in my understanding of HTML and CSS code. I have now started to learn Java scripts on my own time and apply them in my webpages. This year is looking to be a good one, let’s go Holt Rams!

If you didn’t know already I am one of the captains of the Holt Boy’s Swim team. We have a good group of boys this year and things are looking good as far as competition. I swim the five hundred freestyle and the two hundred freestyle as individual events every meet. Currently I am being scouted by Alma College and I plan on signing my letter of intent to them sometime in December or January. I can’t wait to see how this year’s season will turn out and I can’t wait to join my other family up at Alma as soon as this school year is over.
