Winterguard

What is Winterguard?

The Winterguard team is not the same as Color Guard. Although Mrs. Wilson coaches both teams, the Winterguard does completely different things. Instead of performing during halftime at sports events, the Winterguard performs at competitions. Alot of Winter Guards have a performance name (not just their school name) and they perform under the name "Pandemonium Winterguard". The team practices every Friday (6-9) and Sunday (1-6) and their practice pays off looking at their history.
Winterguard was started here at Holt in 1995, they have won many medals since then. In 1999 they were the Michigan B class champions and in 2000/01 they were bronze medalists. Last year they placed 4th out of 20 teams. This years show is entiled "HELD", its all about having faith that in the worst times you wil be held, Music by Natalie Grant.
