TATU

TATU stands for Teens Against Tobacco Use. TATU is a program for all high school students, (sophomores to seniors), who want to teach younger students in the area about the harmful use of tobacco and want to help prevent its use.

TATU is a nationwide program made because tests have shown that teens are willing to talk to younger kids about the discouragement of tobacco use. The teens are trained to inform the younger kids about the effects and hazards of its use to help them realize how "uncool" it is. By doing this, it makes the teens realize how much more they don't want to smoke as well.

To become a member of TATU, students are nominated or recommended by other students and teachers. The Teacher Advisor for TATU is Mrs. Graf in room E124.
